The legend of Wasim Akram

Legendary Pakistani allrounder and king of reverse swing bowling, Wasim Akram is perhaps the finest left arm fast bowler ever to play.

Wasim Akram discusses his career and skill that could make the ball swing and talk like no one else did.

In the 1990s, the Pakistani team was under the microscope for match fixing activities. Justice Qayuum who conducted the inquiry noted how frequently Akram's name came up during the evidence, concluding he was “not above board”. Akram was censured, handed a fine of PKR 300,000 and a recommendation that he never captain Pakistan again.
