Taylor stiffens England response: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Sharjah)

After a clutter of wickets left them at 139-4, James Taylor's maiden half-century (74 not out) moved England into a strong position.

The tourists closed at 222-4 which was just 12 behind Pakistan's 234. Alastair Cook (49), Ian Bell (40) and Jonny Bairstow 37 not out provided strong support to Taylor.

England 222 for 4 (Taylor 74*, Bairstow 37*) trail Pakistan 234 by 12 runs.
