Ashwin delivers 3-0 win over defiant Proteas: 4th Test, Day 5 (Delhi)

Ravichandran Ashwin took 5-61 as India overcame strong resistance from South Africa to seal a 3-0 series victory after tea.

South Africa were defiant in making 143 all out in 143.1 overs with Amla (25 off 244 balls) and AB de Villiers (43 off 297) stonewalling.

India 334 (Rahane 127, Jadeja 56, Abbott 5-40, Piedt 4-117) and 267 for 5 dec (Rahane 100*, Kohli 88, Morkel 3-51) beat South Africa 121 (Jadeja 5-30) and 143 (de Villiers 43, Ashwin 5-61, Umesh 3-9).
