McCullum blazes record fastest ton, saves NZ: 2nd Test, day 1 (Christchurch)

Captain Brendon McCullum (145) made history with the fastest ever Test century in 54 balls studded with 16 fours and four sixes.

McCullum and Anderson (72 in 66 balls) put on 179 for the 5th wicket as NZ recovered from 74-4 to be all out for 370. In reply, Australia ended day one on 1 for 57.

Australia 57 for 1 (Burns 18*) trail New Zealand 370 (McCullum 145, Anderson 72, Watling 58, Lyon 3-61) by 313 runs.
