Aussies win decider despite Amla knock: 3rd T20 (Cape Town)

Hashim Amla (97 not out in 62 balls) posted the highest score in T20's at Newlands but could not prevent Australia running down their 178-4.

Australia secured a six-wicket victory to clinch the three-match series 2-1. In the chase, captain Steve Smith top-scored with 44 off just 26 balls after Usman Khawaja (33) and Watson (42) gave the visitors the perfect start with an opening stand of 76 in just 8.2 overs.

Australia 181 for 4 (Smith 44, Tahir 2-38) beat South Africa 178 for 4 (Amla 97*, Coulter-Nile 2-36) by six wickets.
