Dilshan leads Sri Lankan win: 2016 WT20 No 16 SRL v AFG (Kolkata)
Defending champions Sri Lanka put their recent woes behind them to produce a solid batting display as Tillakaratne Dilshan hit 83 to beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets in their World Twenty20 opener.
Earlier, skipper Asghar Stanikzai's 62 from 47 balls had fired the underdogs to 153-7, having been 51-4 with nine overs left. Sri Lanka 155 for 4 (Dilshan 83*, Mathews 21*) beat Afghanistan 153 for 7 (Stanikzai 62, Shenwari 31, Thisara 3-33) by six wickets.
