Root scripts thrilling win: 2016 WT20 No 18 ENG v RSA (Mumbai)

England pulled off the second-highest run chase in Twenty20 history as they ran down a stunned South Africa with 2 balls to spare.

Chasing a massive target of 230, Joe Root smashed 83 off 44 balls after Jason Roy blitzed 43 from 16 deliveries set the platform for the big chase. Earlier, South Africa posted 229-6, with Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock and JP Duminy all making half-centuries.

England 230 for 8 (Root 83, Roy 43, Abbott 3-41) beat South Africa 229 for 4 (Amla 58, Duminy 54*, de Kock 52) by two wickets.
