Bailey, Hastings crush SL and win series: 4th ODI (Dambulla)

Aaron Finch (55) narrowly missed out on fastest ever one-day international half-century and George Bailey smashed 90 not out after John Hastings (6-45) allowed Australia to crush Sri Lanka by six-wicket to win the series 3-1 with one match still to play.

Earlier, new opener Dhananjaya de Silva (76) was the only Sri Lanka batsman to make a significant contribution as Angelo Mathews (40) suffered a calf injury while batting. Hasting took regular wickets to bowl out the locals for 212.

Australia 217 for 4 (Bailey 90*, Finch 55, Pathirana 3-37) beat Sri Lanka 212 (De Silva 76, Hastings 6-45) by 6 wickets.
