Abbott, Rabada rip through Aussies for innings win: 2nd Test, Day 4 (Hobart)

South Africa won their third consecutive series in Australia after routing a spineless home team who lost 8 for 40 in the morning session to be bowled out for 161.

Kyle Abbott took 6-77 and and Kagiso Rabada took 4-34 in a fiery spell that powered South Africa to a series-clinching win by an innings and 80 runs.

It was Australia's first series defeat on home soil in four years and their 5th straight Test match loss after a 3-0 whitewash in Sri Lanka.

South Africa 326 (De Kock 104, Bavuma 74, Hazlewood 6-89, Starc 3-79) beat Australia 85 (Smith 48*, Philander 5-21, Abbott 3-41) and 161 (Khawaja 64, Abbott 6-77, Rabada 4-34) by an innings and 80 runs.
