Ashwin, Jadeja lead fightback after collapse: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Mohali)

Ravichandran Ashwin (57 not out) and Ravindra Jadeja (31 not out) led India's fightback in the final session with a 67 run stand taking them to 271 for 6, just 12 runs adrift of England.

England's most successful bowler was Adil Rashid (3/66 in 21 overs). Virat Kohli (62) repaired a mid innings collapse after tea when they were sitting pretty at 148-2.

Earlier, Mohammed Shami (3/63) polished off the England tail as they only added 15 runs to their overnight score of 268 for eight.

India 271 for 6 (Ashwin 57*, Jadeja 31*) trail England 283 (Bairstow 89, Shami 3-63) by 12 runs.
