Debutant Malan assault wins series: 3rd T20 (Cardiff)

Debutant Dawid Malan's hard-hitting 78 off 44 balls helped England to a 19-run victory over South Africa to secure a 2-1 series win.

Alex Hales (36) shared a 105-run stand with Malan but England were stymied in the last 5 overs as accurate bowling from Paterson (4-32) kept them to 181-8.

Chasing quick runs, South Africa were in real trouble at 91-6 until Mangaliso Moshele’s entertaining 36 during a 54-run stand with Andile Phehlukwayo provided some respectability.

England 181 for 8 (Malan 78, Paterson 4-32) beat South Africa 162 for 7 (Mohsehle 36, Jordan 3-31) by 19 runs.
