Amla turns heat on England: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Trent Bridge)

Hashim Amla stroked a sublime 87 to help South Africa take command of the second test against England.

Cook and Jennings negotiated a tense 4 overs at the end after South Africa set England 474 to win.

Dean Elgar (80) and Amla extended their third-wicket stand to 135 as the visitors maintained their grip on the match.

England 205 and 1 for 0 need another 473 runs to beat South Africa 335 and 343 for 9 dec (Amla 87, Elgar 80, du Plessis 63, Moeen 4-78).
