Australia strike first blow in 10 wicket win: 1st Test, Day 5 (Gabba)

Australia cruised to a 10-wicket win over England on the final morning of the first Ashes Test.

Dave Warner and Cameron Bancroft put on a stunning 173 stand to blunt the English attack.

This same English attack had reduced Australia to 209 for seven shortly before lunch on day three. After that, the Australians scored 293 for three to slowly wrestle the advantage back culminating in a crushing 10 wicket win.

Australia 328 (Smith 141*, Marsh 51) and 0 for 173 (Warner 87*, Bancroft 82*) beat England 302 and 195 (Root 51, Bairstow 42) by 10 wickets.
