Rohit, Sundar carry India to final: 2018 Nidahas Trophy No 5 (RPS)

Leading the side in the absence of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma returned to form with a fine 89 to set up a 17-run victory over Bangladesh and reach the final.

Chasing a target of 177, Bangladesh were rocked early thanks to paceman Washington Sundar's (3/22) burst with the new ball. Rahim (72) and Sabbir Rahman (27) added 65 runs for the fifth wicket but it was not enough.

Earlier, India posted 176/3 thanks to Sharma's 89 and Suresh Raina's 47. Rubel Hossain took 2/27.

Bangladesh play Sri Lanka in the last group match with the winner playing India in the final.

India 176 for 3 (Rohit 89, Raina 47) beat Bangladesh 159 for 6 (Mushfiqur 72, Sundar 3-22) by 17 runs.
