Disgraced Warner slinks into Sydney as Lehmann quits as coach

David Warner has endured a difficult week since he plotted and instructed Cameron Bancroft to tamper with the ball with sandpaper on the third day of the Cape Town Test against South Africa.

Darren Lehmann quit as coach of the Australian cricket team. In a tearful press conference, he announced that the fourth Test against South Africa would be his last in charge.

Banned from holding any leadership role for life, Warner arrived in Sydney on a separate flight to Steve Smith. The disgraced opener issued a statement on social media while en route back from South Africa after being handed a 12-month ban alongside Smith for his role in the scandal.
