Windies sunk by Tamim century: 1st ODI (Guyana)

Opener Tamim Iqbal and allrounder Shakib al Hasan shared a record double-century partnership as Bangladesh thumped West Indies by 48 runs to win their opening ODI.

Bangladesh reached 279/4, helped by Tamim's 130*, Shakib Al Hasan's 97 and a late 11-ball 30 from Mushfiqur Rahim.

The Windies were never in the hunt after skipper Mashrafe Mortaza took 4/37 to restrict the hosts to 231/9.

Bangladesh 279 for 4 (Tamim 130*, Shakib 97) beat West Indies 231 for 9 (Hetmyer 52, Gayle 40, Mashrafe 4-37) by 48 runs.
