Morgan, Woakes power England win: 2nd ODI (Dambulla)

Skipper Eoin Morgan hit 92 to guide England to a 31 run over Sri Lanka in a rain shortened match.

Morgan (92) and Joe Root (71) were the only batsmen to pass 30 as England stumbled to 278-9 after a fast start. Lasith Malinga took 5-44 to inflict the damage at the end.

Sri Lanka crumbled to 31-4 with Woakes taking 3-26. Thisara Perera and Dhananjaya de Silva rallied, but Sri Lanka were way behind the rate when a storm stopped play.

England 278 for 9 (Morgan 92, Root 71, Malinga 5-44) beat Sri Lanka 140 for 5 (Woakes 3-26) by 31 runs (DLS method).
