Dickwella, Dananjaya hammer England: 5th ODI (RPS)

Opener Niroshan Dickwella and spinner Akila Dananjaya set up a crushing 219-run win over England to claim a consolation in a 1-4 series loss.

Dickwella blasted 95 and skipper Dinesh Chandimal posted 80 as Sri Lanka racked up 366 for six. Kusal Mendis smashed 56 off 33 balls.

England had slumped to 132/9 when rain stopped play in the 27th over. Akila Dananjaya took 4/19 and fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera claimed three wickets to apply the brakes.

Sri Lanka 366 for 6 (Dickwella 95, Chandimal 80, Kusal Mendis 56, Samarawickrama 54) beat England 132 for 9 (Stokes 67, Dananjaya 4-19, Chameera 3-20) by 219 runs (by DLS method).
