Boult inspires fightback despite Babar knock: 1st Test, Day 2 (Abu Dhabi)

Left arm paceman Trent Boult took 4-54 to put New Zealand back in the hunt against Pakistan.

Babar Azam posted a defiant 62 as NZ dismissed Pakistan for 227 shortly after tea.

The visitors then reached stumps at 56-1 – a deficit of just 18 runs, with Kane Williamson (27) and Jeet Raval (26) combining well.

New Zealand 153 and 56 for 1 (Williamson 27*, Raval 26*) trail Pakistan 227 (Babar 62, Boult 4-54) by 18 runs.
