Leach spins out SL for series win: 2nd Test, Day 5 (Kandy)

Spinner Jack Leach claimed five wickets as England won their first series win in Sri Lanka since 2001 with a 57-run victory.

Sri Lanka needed 75 more for a win but lost their last 3 wickets quickly to hand the win to England. Moeen Ali took 2 wickets and Leach removed Malinda Pushpakumara to bowl Sri Lanka out for 243 and claim his maiden Test five-wicket haul.

England 290 (Curran 64, Buttler 63, Dilruwan 4-61) and 346 (Root 124, Foakes 65*, Burns 59, Dananjaya 6-115) beat Sri Lanka 336 (Roshen 85, Karunaratne 63, Leach 3-70, Rashid 3-75) and 243 (Mathews 88, Karunaratne 57, Leach 5-83, Moeen 4-72) by 57 runs.
