Rashid triggers stunning SL collapse: 3rd Test, Day 2 (SSC)

Sri Lanka threw away a dominant position against England, collapsing from 183 for 2 at tea to 240 all out after leg spinner Adil Rashid ripped through the hosts.

A second-wicket stand of 142 between Dimuth Karunaratne (83) and Dhananjaya de Silva (73), Sri Lanka's first century stand in the series, put them on top at 173-1.

In good batting conditions, Rashid (5-49) and Ben Stokes (3-30) led the attack as Sri Lanka lost their last 9 wickets in just 111 balls.

England 336 (Bairstow 110, Stokes 57, Sandakan 5-95) and 3 for 0 (Burns 2*, Jennings 1*) lead Sri Lanka 240 (Karunaratne 83, Dhananjaya 73, Rashid 5-49, Stokes 3-30) by 99 runs.
