Maxwell, Cummins snatch last ball thriller over India: 1st T20 (Vpatnam)

Glenn Maxwell hit a sizzling 56 and Pat Cummins showed great composure in the last over to ensure Australia started their tour of India with a dramatic final-ball win after a batting collapse.

Earlier, Australia restricted India to 7-126 after the home team suffered a collapse of 6-40.

Australia were sitting pretty at 90-2 but a collapse of 4-12 meant the victory equation confronting Cummins and Jhye Richardson was 14 runs off the final over. Cummins hit a four and took 2 off the last ball to snatch a win.

Australia 127 for 7 (Maxwell 56, Short 37, Bumrah 3-16) beat India 126 for 7 (Rahul 50, Dhoni 29*, Coulter-Nile 3-26) by three wickets.
