Battling Watling ton leads fight back : 1st Test, Day 3 (Bay Oval)

BJ Watling smashed a defiant century as NZ finished on 394-6, leading England by 41 runs.

Watling hit a superb unbeaten 119 and Mitchell Santner was 31 not out at stumps.

Earlier, Watling & Colin De Grandhomme put on 119 for the sixth wicket as England took only 2 wickets in the day.

New Zealand 394 for 6 (Watling 119*, Santner 31*) lead England 353 (Stokes 91, Denly 74, Burns 52, Southee 4-88) by 41 runs.
