Wagner five rips thru England for innings win: 1st Test, Day 5 (Bay Oval)

Left arm quick Neil Wagner took five wickets as New Zealand completed a crushing win over England by an innings and 65 runs.

England needed to bat through the day to save the Test but were bowled out for 197 with 21.4 overs remaining shortly after tea.

Joe Denly made 35 from 142 balls and Ben Stokes 28 from 84 as the Black Caps secured a 1-0 series lead.

New Zealand 615 for 9 dec (Watling 205, Santner 126, de Grandhomme 65, Williamson 51) beat England 353 (Stokes 91, Denly 74, Burns 52, Southee 4-88) and 197 (Wagner 5-44) by an innings and 65 runs.
