De Grandhomme powers whitewash over India: 3rd ODI (Mt Maunganui)

Allrounder Colin de Grandhomme ensured New Zealand did not waste a solid foundation from their top order to beat India by five wickets and complete a 3-0 series win.

This is the first whitewash India has suffered in ODis in 30 years.

Openers Guptill (66) and Nicholls (80) put on 106 to lay the solid platform for the chase. Tom Latham posted 32 not out while de Grandhomme blitzed a 21-ball half century that took New Zealand to 300-5 in 47.1 overs.

Earlier, KL Rahul's fourth ODI hundred had guided India to 296-7.

New Zealand 300 for 5 (Nicholls 80, Guptill 66, de Grandhomme 58*, Chahal 3-47) beat India 296 for 7 (Rahul 112, Iyer 62, Bennett 4-64) by five wickets.
