Woakes, Broad knock over Windies for series win: 3rd Test, Day 5 (Manchester)

England secured a massive 269-run win over the West Indies to take the series 2-1, with Chris Woakes' five-for overshadowed by Stuart Broad's 500th Test wicket.

West Indies resumed on 10-2 chasing 399 or, more likely, needing to bat out the last day.

Brathwaite fell early, becoming Broad’s 500 Test victim. Chris Woakes took 5-50 as England dodged the showers to bowl West Indies out for 129.

England 369 (Pope 91, Butler 67, Burns 57) and 226 for 2 declared (Burns 90, Root 68*, Sibley 56) beat West Indies 197 (Broad 6-31) and 129 (Woakes 5-50, Broad 4-36) by 269 runs.
