Smith pounds India as Aussies seal series win: 2nd ODI (SCG)

Steve Smith hit a second successive century to drive Australia to a 51-run victory over India, sealing the one-day series 2-0 with a match to spare.

Smith posted a masterful 104, guiding Australia to a record-breaking total of 4-389.

In reply, Virat Kohli stroked a composed knock of 89. India's skipper was well supported by KL Rahul (76), while Mitchell Starc was hammered for 0-82 from nine overs but they fell short to concede the series.

Australia 4 for 389 (Smith 104, Warner 83, Labuschagne 70, Maxwell 63*, Finch 60) beat India 9 for 338 (Kohli 89, Rahul 76, ) by 51 runs.
