Brian John Bennett was born on November 10, 2003. He is a right-handed batting all-rounder and right-arm off-break bowler.
Bennett gained attention during the 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup, where he served as vice-captain of the Zimbabwean squad. He emerged as the team’s top run-scorer, amassing 273 runs at an average of 45.50, including three half-centuries.
His domestic debut came in December 2022 for the Mountaineers in the Logan Cup. He made an immediate impact in T20 cricket, scoring 41 off 22 balls in his debut match in February 2023.

In February 2025, Bennett scored 169 in an ODI against Ireland, becoming the fourth-youngest player to achieve a 150+ score in ODIs.
In May 2025, during the one off Test match against England at Trent Bridge, he scored 139 runs off 97 balls, setting the record for the fastest Test century by a Zimbabwean.
