Wade guides nervous win over SL: 2nd T20 (RPS)

Allrounder Wanindu Hasaranga took four wickets with his leg spinners but couldn’t stop Australia grabbing an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Charith Asalanka (39) and Kusal Mendis (36) started brightly but it all went downhill for Sri Lanka following their entertaining 66-run stand for the third wicket. The hosts limped to 124-9.

Australia wobbled at 99-7. They ended on 126-7 in 17.5 overs for a tricky three wicket victory thanks to Matthew Wade who struck 26 not out.

Australia 126 for 7 (Wade 26*, Finch 24, Hasaranga 4-33) beat Sri Lanka 124 for 9 (Asalanka 39, Mendis 36, Kane Richardson 4-30, Jhye Richardson 3-26) by three wickets
