Windies crush South Africa after Pooran blast: 1st T20 (Tarouba)

Nicholas Pooran smashed an unbeaten 65 in just 26 balls to ease the West Indies to a 7 wicket win over South Africa in the 1st T20.

South Africa, without several of their regular players who have been rested, posted 174-7 thanks to a well compiled 76 from Stubbs.

In reply, a 84-run opening stand between Alick Athanaze (40 from 30 balls) and Shai Hope (51 from 36 balls) got the Windies off to a flyer. The hosts won with 13 balls to spare.

West Indies 176 for 3 (Pooran 65*, Hope 51, Athanaze 40, Baartman 2-30) beat South Africa 174 for 3 (Stubbs 76, Kruger 44, Forde 3-27, Shamar 2-40) by seven wickets.
