Pant, Gill centuries continue Indian dominance: 1st Test, Day 3 (Chennai)

Rishabh Pant smashed his sixth Test hundred to make an emotional return to Test cricket after a horrific car crash as India dominated Bangladesh.

Pant (109) put on 167 runs with Shubman Gill, who remained unbeaten on 119 when the declaration was made.

Bangladesh were 158-4 at stumps with first-innings centurion Ravichandran Ashwin picking three of the four wickets to fall.

Bangladesh 149 and 158 for 4 (Shanto 51*, Ashwin 3-63) need 357 runs to beat India 376 and 287 for 4 dec. (Gill 119*, Pant 109).
