India fightback after Ravindra ton extends Kiwi edge: 1st Test, Day 3 (Bangalore)

Allrounder Rachin Ravindra smashed a game-changing century as New Zealand posted 402 all out to dominate India in the 1st Test at Bangalore.

Ravindra (134) and veteran Tim Southee (65) added a record 137 for the 8th wicket to extend the visitors lead over India to a massive 356.

Spinner Ajaz Patel dismissed both the openers before Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan added 136 runs for the third wicket. Kohli was dismissed on the stroke of stumps for 70.

India, bowled out for just 46 in the first innings, now trail New Zealand by 125 runs with 7 wickets remaining.

India 46 and 231 for 3 (Sarfaraz 70*, Kohli 70, Rohit 52) trail New Zealand 402 (Ravindra 134, Conway 91, Southee 65, Jadeja 3-72) by 125 runs.
