Maharaj wrecks Bangladesh, secures innings win: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Chittagong)

Spinner Keshav Maharaj was devastating with the ball as South Africa thrashed Bangladesh by an innings and 273 runs to secure a 2-0 series sweep on Day 3.

Kagiso Rabada took 5-37 from just nine overs in the first innings as the home side were bundled out for 159. Only Monimul showed some fight with 82.

In the second innings, Bangladesh posted only 143 as Maharaj took 5-59. Spinner Senuran Muthusamy, who scored a brisk fifty, picked up four wickets.

Bangladesh 159 (Monimul 82, Rabada 5-37) and 143 (Mahmud 38, Maharaj 5-59, Muthusamy 4-45) beat South Africa 575 for 6 dec by an innings and 273 runs.
