1971: Wadekar and Sobers analyse historic Indian win in the Windies

India won an overseas series for the first time.

Ajit Wadekar's team created history on the 1971 tour of the West Indies as they became the first Indian team to win a Test series against the mighty West Indies.

The series also marked the international debut for opener Sunil Gavaskar; he scored heavily in this series, including four test centuries and a double century.
