India refuse trophy in controversial end to final with Pakistan (Dubai)

Description:
Dubai International Cricket Stadium

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium, located in Dubai Sports City, is one of the premier cricket venues in the UAE and a regular host of international and franchise tournaments.

Opened in 2009 with a seating capacity of around 25,000 (expandable to 30,000), it is renowned for its state-of-the-art “Ring of Fire” lighting system, which eliminates shadows on the field through 350 floodlights fixed around the roof.

The stadium has staged numerous high-profile matches, including ICC World T20 games, the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final, Pakistan’s adopted home fixtures, and Indian Premier League (IPL) contests during seasons relocated to the UAE.

Known for its batting-friendly pitches and electric atmosphere, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium stands as a modern hub of cricket in the Middle East.
