Brandon King: Hard hitting opening batsman
Brandon King is a right handed middle order batsman who made his first-class debut for Jamaica in 2014-15. He had a breakout season in 2018-19 for Jamaica and was picked for his ODI debut against Afghanistan in 2019.
After being sidelined in late 2020 followinn a run of low scores, King returned to the Windies squad late in 2021. He scored fifties in T20Is against Pakistan and England, and an unbeaten 58 and 91 in the ODI series win against Netherlands.
In the 2024 T20 series at home against South Africa, King was appointed as the stand-in captain in the absence of regular skipper Rovman Powell and vice-captain Alzarri Joseph.
