Misbah: Most successful Pakistan Test captain

Misbah was a right handed batsman and occasional leg spin bowler. Since making his international debut in 2001, he earned a reputation as a composed player able to play the big shots when required. Inconsistency earlier in his career meant he had limited international opportunities between 2003 and 2007.

Misbah accepted the Pakistan captaincy after the explosive spot-fixing scandal in 2010. He steered Pakistan, often amid barrage of criticism for his playing style, to the top-ranked test team for the first time in the country's history.
