Norman Reid played one Test for South Africa, against Australia at Newlands in 1921. He scored 17 runs and took two wickets.
He was said to be a wonderful fielder, but his career sadly did not last long. Reid met with a tragic end when he was shot and killed by his mentally unstable wife, who then committed suicide.
