Roy Lindsay Park (30 July 1892 – 23 January 1947), nicknamed “Little Doc,” was a remarkable all‑round sportsman from Victoria.
He represented Australia in a single Test match in December 1920, where he was dismissed first ball and bowled just one over—an incident romantically immortalised by the story of his wife missing the entire Test while picking up her knitting.
Despite his brief Test career, he was prolific domestically, amassing over 2,500 first‑class runs at nearly 40, including a match‑winning 228 and topping the Sheffield Shield batting in 1919–20.
Outside cricket, Park was a leading goal‑kicker in VFL football and practised as a medical doctor.
