Reece Young was born on 15 September 1979 in Auckland. He is a right hand batsman and wicketkeeper. Young made his first class debut in 1998/99 for Auckland. Reece Young got his first call-up to the national squad for the Test tour of Sri Lanka in 2009 and made the the New Zealand Test team against Pakistan at Hamilton in Jan 2011.
