Right handed opener, captained Pakistan Under 19 team
Babar Azam was born on October 15, 1994 in Lahore, Punjab. He was picked for the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand and then captained Pakistan in the 2012 Under 19 World Cup in Australia. He made his first class debut in 2010.
Babar made his international debut on his home ground at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore in a rare home series for Pakistan when he was selected against Zimbabwe in the 3rd ODI at Lahore in May 2014.
Barbar is the cousin of the Akmal brothers.
