K L Rahul was born on on April 18, 1992 in Bangalore, Karnataka. He is a right handed opening batsman who made his first class debut in 2010 for Karnataka. He is also an occasional wicket keeper.
After a star studded first class season in 2014, including a man of the match performance in the Ranji final, Rahul was selected for the Australia tour in 2014/15. He made his Test debut at the MCG in Dec 2014
Rahul made his maiden Test century against the Windies in 2016. He made 199 against England in the 5th Test in Chennai in Dec 2016.
