Gayle and Charles lead win despite Morgan blast: ICC T20 WC S8 WIN v ENG (Pallekele)

Eoin Morgan's unbeaten 71 from 36 balls was in vain as England lost their Super Eight opener to the West Indies by 15 runs.

Earlier, Johnson Charles smashed three sixes and 10 well-timed boundaries in his 56-ball 84 while Chris Gayle hit four sixes and six fours in his 35-ball 58 as the West Indies ripped apart England's bowlers.

West Indies 179 for 5 (Charles 84, Gayle 58) beat England 162 for 4 (Morgan 71*, Hales 68) by 15 runs
