Jaker, Taijul inspire rare Bangladesh win over Windies: 2nd Test, Day 4 (Kingston)

Jaker Ali and Taijul Islam were the stars as Bangladesh secured their first Test win in the West Indies for 15 years to draw the two-match series 1-1 in Kingston.

Jaker struck a career-best 91 to help Bangladesh post 268 in the second innings.

Earlier, Bangladesh took 18 runs lead in the first innings after bowling out West Indies for 146, thanks to fast bowler Nahid Rana's maiden five-for (5 for 61 runs).

Chasing 286, the Windies were sitting pretty at 92-2 but they let it slip away, eventually losing their final six wickets for 42 runs. Taijul took 5-50.

Bangladesh 264 (Shadman 64, Seales 4-5, Shamar 3-49) and 268 (Jaker 91, Shadman 46, Mehidy 42, Roach 3-36) beat West Indies 146 (Carty 40, Brathwaite 39, Rana 5-61, Mahmud 2-19) and 185 (Hodge 55, Brathwaite 43, Taijul 5-50, Mahmud 2-20) by 101 runs.
