Sri Lanka fall apart to Maharaj spin: 2nd Test, Day 5 (St George's)

Sri Lanka lost 5 wickets for 19 runs as they handed victory to South Africa on day 5 at Port Elizabeth.

Resuming on 205/5 with Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva were well set to chase of 348. However, Keshav Maharaj led South Africa’s fightback by picking up 5-76 that saw Sri Lanka collapse to 238 all out.

South Africa sealed the series win 2-0.

South Africa 358 and 317 (Bavuma 66, Markram 55, Jayasuriya 5-129) beat Sri Lanka 328 and 238 (Dhananjaya de Silva 50, Maharaj 5-76) by 109 runs.
