Afghanistan fightback after Rahmat defies Zimbabwe: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Bulawayo)

A defiant century by Rahmat Shah helped Afghanistan overturn a significant first-innings deficit and finish a rain-curtailed day 205 runs ahead of Zimbabwe at Bulawayo.

Tottering at 68-5, Rahmat (139) and Shahidullah Kamal added 67 runs for the sixth wicket on either side of a rain delay. Rahmat then added 132 runs with Ismat (64 not out) for the 7th wicket.

Afghanistan 157 and 291 for 7 (Rahmat 139, Ismat 64*, Muzarabani 4-71) lead Zimbabwe 243 by 205 runs.
