Rohit century thumps England, India win series: 2nd ODI (Cuttack)

Skipper Rohit Sharma slammed his 32nd ODI century as England were thrashed in Cuttack.

India clinched the series 2-0 with a match to spare.

Rohit (119) and Shubman Gill (60) put on 136 for the first wicket. A floodlight failure stopped play during the Indian innings. Rohit hit seven sixes and 12 fours as the hosts chased down a 305-run target in 44.3 overs.

Earlier, England squandered a solid start. England's top six all made it beyond 25. Joe Root was the highest scorer with 69. England were dismissed for 304 with a ball remaining in their 50 overs.

India 308 for 6 (Rohit 119, Gill 60, Iyer 44, Axar 41*) beat England 304 (Root 69, Duckett 65, Jadeja 3-35) by four wickets.
