1974: Glenn Turner inspires first ever win over Australia (Christchurch)

Wicket keeper Ken Wadsworth - who would die just two years later of cancer - hit a four to seal a famous win, triggering raucous scenes as New Zealand chased down 228 to beat Australia for the first time in a Test match.

Opener Glenn Turner scored 101 and 110 not out in the Lancaster Park Test to become the first Kiwi to get tons in two innings of the same test.

The captains were Bev Congdon and Ian Chappell. The series, which featured a lot of acrimony and controversy, was drawn 1-1 after Australia won the 3rd Test.
