Dawson, Buttler strangle Windies for win: 1st T20 (Riverside)

Spinner Liam Dawson marked his return with career best haul and Jos Buttler shone with the bat as England beat West Indies by 21 runs at Chester-le-Street in the first T20.

Buttler scored a superb 96 off 59 balls as England posted 188-6. Spinner Gudakesh Motie bowled tightly with his four overs conceding only 21 runs

Playing his first international for 3 years, 35-year old veteran Dawson took 4-20 as England defended 189.

England 188 for 6 (Buttler 96) beat West Indies 167 for 9 (Lewis 39, Dawson 4-20) by 21 runs.
