Gill century edges India ahead: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Birmingham)

Skipper Shubman Gill's patient century was the main rock as England's bowlers fought admirably on day one of the second Test at Edgbaston.

Gill (114no) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (87) helped India steady early nerves. Gill then put on 99 with Ravindra Jadeja to see out the final 90 minutes of play as India closed on 310-5.
